Experienced Instructors

Robin House has five instructors all passionate about horses and aim to achieve the best from both horse and rider in a friendly professional way. Janet Webster opened Robin House as a livery yard 35 years ago. In 1995 decided to open a children’s riding school as she wanted to give children the opportunity to see into the world of ponies at an early age. Starting with a roped off area of the field using only her children’s ponies and now developed into a full time successful busy riding school with 100s of children riding here over the years

Janet Webster

Senior Instructor

Hello I have owned, produced and ridden ponies for most of my life competing in showing and dressage. For many years I worked in a top
Class showing yard, breaking, schooling and preparing ponies for shows. Travelling all over the country to national shows. I originally opened robin house as a livery yard 35 years ago. In 1995 I decided to open a children’s riding school as I wanted to give children the opportunity to see into the world of ponies at an early age. I am qualified BHS 1,2 & 3. In 2005 we were inspected and accepted as a pony club centre allowing the children to further their knowledge in all aspects of horsemanship.

Hello everyone I have been brought up in an equestrian environment therefore in was inevitable I started riding at a very early age. Over the years I have had many successes in show ring, competing at all levels. At 16 I was introduced into show jumping which I have successfully competed in ever since. I started my instructing 11 years ago and have taught many children over the years to ride…. many of which have gone on to achieving success with their own ponies. I am a fully qualified pony club co-ordinator and instructor.

Hello everyone
I started riding at robin house when I was 11 years old, getting my first pony at 13, she was unschooled and as stubborn as they come. She started me off with my showing career leading me on to producing my own ponies over the years including competing at the horse of the year show. I studied equine at Myerscough college achieving BHS stages 1&2, I then moved on to working for Myerscough college where I achieved BHS stage 3 and my PTT exams.

Hi everyone I started riding at robin house at the age of 14. I went through all my Pony club badges and tests, I then went on to compete a BTEC national diploma with triple distinction at Myerscough College along with horse management and BHS stages. I then went on to Study equine science, complimentary therapy and natural horsemanship attaining a 2:1 at Reaseheath College.
After graduating I Worked at Georgion Arabian stud later returning to work at black horse limited Friesian stud.

Hi everyone, I have been part of the Robin House team now for over 8 years. During my time there, I have developed my ridden and horsemanship skills, both of which allow me to work there as both a riding and pony club instructor. I am now studying a BSc Hons in Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation at Warwickshire College, so just work there when I am home from university, and of course try and squeeze in a ride on Sligo Fever!

Maintenance Man

You will see Kenan about the yard usually painting or fixing things, he is our resident maintenance man, as you can imagine his work is never done, keeping on top of a busy yard is a mammoth task and we would be lost without him.
